After 12 years of consulting in Washington, DC, Kevin journeyed West on his 1996 BMW R1100 RT looking to find that which went missing.

It was a refreshing and introspective trip cutting across the United States from DC to Atlanta, Memphis to Arizona, and California to Utah. In the middle there was Colorado, and it was good.

The second largest city in Colorado, Colorado Springs nicely contrasts the more upscale cities of Denver and Boulder.

An hour south of Denver, it sits at the foot of Pikes Peak near the southern end of the Front Range. This close proximity to the mountains provides an impressive, yet relaxing, backdrop wherever one goes around town.
