Pickle.com was one of the first video and photo sharing sites. Odd that the other players didn't pick up on this. Scripps noticed, however, and made them a key part of their Internet content platform, serving up media for sites like HGTV and The Food Network

Kevin McFadden was involved in the initial Pickle.com buildout, and subsequently assisted their second buildout to support the post-acquisition traffic increase. This was a six month project providing Unix and database support for their Pickle.com photo and video sharing site consisting of 30+ test and production Linux servers, including seven MySQL servers in a Master-Slave configuration. Performance testing was conducted, and recommendations were made for improvement.
