Blurt is a minimalist, micro-blogging platform written by Patrick Reagan of Viget Labs. One of Blurt's great ideas is bypassing the usual web-based authoring system in favor of using tools that support the MetaWeblog API. My contributions have been custom theme support and the yet-to-be-merged page caching which improves performance remarkably.
